Leveraging over three decades of leadership experience
forged in some of the most demanding operational environments
TeliQ is led by Kevin "Chesh" Cowieson, a former Royal Air Force Air Rank Officer with over three decades of leadership experience forged in some of the most demanding operational contexts. Having served and led across intelligence, air battlespace management (Command and Control), strategy, doctrine and concepts, aerospace operations, transformation, and capability development and delivery roles, he has seen first-hand the impact that strong leadership and decision quality have on organisational performance and outcomes.
After a 34-year career in the RAF, rising from the lowest enlisted rank to very senior command, including serving as the RAF’s Battlespace Management Force Commander, and Air Officer Airbases, leading and developing several thousand people, Chesh founded TeliQ in 2023 to bring his knowledge and experience into civilian organisational and leadership contexts.
TeliQ supports leaders and organisations in complex environments where judgement, clarity, and delivery outweigh theory or artefacts. Through a pragmatic, collaborative approach that combines deep experience with disciplined thinking and human insight, we enable clarity, pace, and progress in critical decisions and outcomes.
Experience and perspective
Chesh’s background spans strategic leadership, organisational change, operational delivery, intelligence, and technical programmes across defence, digital, and complex system environments. His work is informed by advanced academic study in the Social Sciences, Business Management, Human Resource Management, and Defence including graduating from the Royal College of Defence Studies.
He advises UK and international clients at senior and board level, bringing a combination of strategic insight, operational discipline, and human understanding to situations where clarity is required and consequences are real.
This blend of experience shapes TeliQ’s approach: objective, pragmatic, and focused on outcomes that endure.
